Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated
01About this policy
This policy applies to the Media Utility Android app (com.inventar.media_utillity) and its privacy-policy website. The developer of Media Utility operates the contact channel listed at the end of this page.
“We” means the app developer. This policy describes the app and website we provide. It does not cover the independent data practices of other apps or services you choose to use.
02Information the app accesses and uses
The app accesses files you select through Android file or media pickers, such as video, audio, images, and documents, along with text or other content you enter into available tools. Depending on what you select, this content may include personal information.
The app reads information needed for its features, such as file names, types, sizes, durations, dimensions, and locations, to preview, edit, convert, and produce output files. This processing takes place on your device.
The app stores some settings locally, including your chosen save folder. It may retain local processing-error details to explain a failed operation. These details can include file names or paths.
We do not operate a user-account system. Files and content you enter are not automatically sent to developer-operated servers.
03Permissions and save locations
The app uses Android file and media pickers so you can choose what to open. If you choose a save folder through Android, the app remembers its folder permission for future saves, including after restarting the app.
On Android 10 and later, the app uses MediaStore to save media it creates in public folders, or writes to a folder you select. On Android 9 and earlier, it may request storage-write permission to save files in public folders.
You can change the save destination or restore the default location within the app and manage app permissions in Android settings. Denying a required permission may prevent certain open or save operations.
04Opening, sharing, and external services
We do not sell personal information. The app covered by this policy includes no advertising SDK, user-behavior analytics, or automatic error reporting to our servers.
When you use Open or Share, Android passes the relevant file or read access to a viewer or the destination app you select. Subsequent handling is governed by that app’s policies.
If you select a file from a cloud provider, save to a cloud-backed folder, or use a destination app that uploads files, that service may transfer data over the network according to its settings and policies. This is separate from Media Utility’s on-device processing.
05Storage, retention, and deletion
Imported copies and output files may remain in the app’s temporary storage until you remove them or Android reclaims the space. Temporary storage is not guaranteed to be permanent; save outputs you want to keep.
Use Clear temporary files in the app to remove temporary files managed by the app. Clearing app data or uninstalling removes internal app data through Android’s mechanisms. System backup and restoration may depend on your device settings.
Original files, files saved to public or chosen folders, and copies sent to other apps are not removed by the temporary-file cleaner or uninstalling the app. Delete those files through your file manager or the relevant service.
We do not hold server copies of the files you process and cannot recover or delete files on your device for you. If you email us, we use your contact details and message to address your request and retain them only as needed for the response, follow-up, or applicable legal obligations.
06Information from this website
This website has no file-upload form or sign-in system. It includes no advertising or behavioral analytics tools and sets no tracking cookies. Fonts and page resources are served locally by this website.

Read Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy ↗07Your choices and security
You choose which files to process, control saving and sharing, and can remove local data as described above. The app relies on Android storage and permission controls to limit access, but no storage or transmission method can guarantee security in every situation.
The app does not request age information or automatically collect children’s information for the developer. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through our contact channel, please let us know so we can review and address it appropriately.
If you have sent us personal information by email, you may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion in accordance with rights provided by applicable law.
08Policy updates and contact
We may update this policy as features or data practices change. We will publish the current version at this URL and revise the date above. Where a change requires additional notice or consent, we will follow applicable legal and platform requirements.
For privacy questions or requests about information you sent to the developer, contact the developer of Media Utility using the email below. You do not need to attach private documents or media files to ask about this policy.
